Compensation

Salary Range:
$120k-135k depending on experience*

About this Position

The Cybersecurity Analyst will primarily be focused on endpoint security and will work to mature the organization's security posture by utilizing and developing cybersecurity capabilities.

The ideal candidate is motivated and focused on growth as an Analyst. This candidate will have an understanding of core cybersecurity methodologies and technology infrastructures using AWS, Automation Tools, Firewalls, VPNs, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS, Web-Proxy, and securing system baseline images.

What you'd be doing:

  • Work with internal teams to harden, test, and deploy system baseline images and configurations
  • Investigate and respond to security alerts or incidents
  • Ensure that the latest software and patches are deployed
  • Discover cybersecurity capability gaps
  • Stay up-to-date and communicate the latest threat and vulnerability news
  • Make recommendations to Underline’s security posture
  • Organize and participate in risk mitigation and remediation activities
  • Develop procedures and documentation and help train the team on best practices and requirements
  • Maintain current knowledge and understanding of security, systems, and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems

Experience we require:

  • 8+ years of cybersecurity experience with a Bachelor's degree or 12+ years of cybersecurity experience with an Associates degree
  • IAT Level II/III certification
  • Deep understanding of security, risk, and compliance for large-scale computing solutions
  • Experience with cloud compliance and security standards
  • Experience with automation tools such as Terraform
  • Experience with Linux, Windows, Group Policy and Mobile Device Management
  • Experience with vulnerability scans and recognizing vulnerabilities in security systems
  • Experience with cloud-based concepts and the AWS component stack
  • Understanding of cloud identity and access management tools
  • Knowledge of security controls, the STIG process, CIS benchmarks, and remediation
  • Experience with firewalls
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting and debugging, and a passion for problem-solving and investigation
  • Work with Power Shell, bash, or similar shell environments
  • General networking knowledge
  • Ability to communicate scope and state of work, including articulating roadblocks
  • Ability to apply cybersecurity skills and knowledge to approach new problems in creative ways
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance. To be eligible for clearance, US Citizenship is required, and employee must agree to participate in a background screen and credit check
