About this Position

The Millimeter Wave Field Technician Lead will provide leadership and guidance to a team of Residential Field Technicians.

What you'd be doing:

Installation and Maintenance Oversight:

  • Oversee the installation and setup of wireless internet equipment at residential locations
  • Ensure proper configuration and functionality of network equipment through regular quality checks
  • Monitor maintenance activities, conduct inspections, and address any issues or escalations
  • Review documentation and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards

Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:

  • Provide technical guidance and support to field technicians to resolve complex network issues
  • Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and diagnose customer service calls and inquiries
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of technical problems to maintain high customer satisfaction

Process Improvement and Quality Assurance:

  • Continuously evaluate operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures for the team
  • Conduct regular quality assurance checks to maintain service level agreements (SLAs) and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customer support and network engineering, to address technical issues and enhance service offerings
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and provide regular updates on team performance and operational metrics
  • Foster effective communication channels between the team and other departments to streamline operations.

Team Management and Leadership:

  • Set performance objectives, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and employee growth
  • Coordinate work schedules, assignments, and resources to ensure efficient operations

Experience we require:

  • 4+ years of experience in operational support in mmWave or related RF fields
  • 2+ years Installation and Repair of mmWave equipment or similar RF gear, transport and residential
  • Experience reading and understanding engineering prints
