Our first two projects are in Colorado Springs and Fountain, Colorado.

About this Position

We are looking for a full-time marketing lead to join the Underline El Paso team, focused on educating and converting potential residential customers. This position works with and reports directly to the national Marketing and Communications team to build the Underline brand and execute engagement campaigns and assorted programs. Our approach to marketing and onboarding is grounded in grassroots, campaign-style tactics, and this position plays a critical role in the execution of this strategy.

What you'd be doing:

  • Master our brand and project messaging and serve as a public-facing representative of the network
  • Help Colorado Springs and Fountain residents understand the value of the Underline networks by executing a programmatic approach to grassroots marketing
  • Ensure that residents we have engaged with through traditional channels take the final step to becoming an Underline customer
  • Distribute information and drive conversion through tablings, door-to-door canvassing, and other in-person events such as neighborhood meetings
  • Help to formalize and run our “Champions” program, recruiting and training residents to conduct their own grassroots outreach 
  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and organizations 
  • Assist with event planning and coordination
  • Maintain organization of print collateral, track supply inventory, and hand out materials to community partners and project Champions, as needed 
  • Research community habits, trends, opportunities, and challenges, and offer recommendations on how to best engage with a variety of residents and businesses within the community

Experience we require:

  • 5-7 years working in a marketing, community engagement, campaign or other relevant role 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You have created consumer-facing marketing content and materials, and have helped run customer-facing campaigns 
  • You have experience with planning events
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and handle a variety of responsibilities at once

Bonus points:

  • You have experience working on civic and/or mission-based projects for communities
