General Context

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Does this sound like you?

  • You care about internet policy, access, and the digital divide. You understand the role that internet access has on the health and growth of a community.
  • You have a founder's mentality and take pride and ownership in the value you create and the resources you have available to get things done.
  • You are always pursuing learning something new, whether that is a new skill or a new domain space. If you don't know something, you will figure it out.
  • You are not comfortable just knowing what is “next”—you are excited to have a hand in figuring it out for yourself and the team at large.
  • You are a proactive, direct communicator and can express yourself clearly and efficiently no matter the medium.
  • You are as comfortable discussing technical debt with the engineers and legal requirements with the business team as you are communicating with the product team.
  • You are comfortable making rapid decisions without knowing all of the answers and don’t get paralyzed by the unknown.
  • You have a prototyping mindset and love to test your theories in the lowest fidelity possible, iterating your way to greatness.
  • You love bringing others into your process—you see the opportunity of working with people who have never worked with designers before as an exciting chance to showcase all that design can do.
  • You can filter through the noise to see what is important, even when there's a lot going on.
  • You are no stranger to designing with data—both quantitative and qualitative; measuring and tracking the right things is important to you and you want to know that your efforts translate to real value.
  • You care about craftsmanship and keep well-organized files and deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • You'll work on a variety of software products that include sign up and onboarding flows, account and device management, billing, checkout flows, and a digital service marketplace.
  • You'll actively partner with product, business, and engineering to deeply understand needs and develop digital products that deliver true value to both our customers and our business.
  • You'll champion customer needs and promote an ethos of understanding and empathy across the company.
  • You'll develop and maintain design processes, standards, and practices that support cross-functional collaboration.
  • You'll develop and maintain a design system that promotes consistency and makes it easier for everyone to get on the same page.
  • You'll drive towards outcomes and proactively identify the gaps you see around you, communicating possible directions and proposing next steps.

Requirements

  • You have enough experience to be able to gauge how hard a problem might be, what work needs to get done, who needs to be involved, and how long it might take. This lets you set and manage expectations for others, both above and below your role.
  • You have enough experience to move quickly to get something together that you can show and receive feedback on.
  • You've worked at an early or mid-stage startup or in agile, cross-functional team.
  • You've designed products across the product lifecycle, including new product launches.
  • You've designed for responsive web products.
  • You have experience with design systems in Figma and keep up with the latest features like auto layout and variants.
  • 4+ years of experience in a product design role

Bonus Characteristics

  • You've worked on software-hardware products like IoT or networking.
  • You've worked on marketplace and checkout products.
  • You've worked on civic technology, smart city, or sensor products.
  • You have experience with web development processes or better yet, you’re not afraid of the terminal and understand the complexities of CSS.
  • You have proficiency with common analytical tools to understand user behavior (such a Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Segment, etc) or experience running user research initiatives.
  • You've worked with GIS applications and/or Mapbox.
