About this Position

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operations of various inventory functions, including the execution of cycle count(s), inventory auditing, order fulfillment, stocking, kitting, and any other inventory-related functions. They are also responsible for unloading, shipping and receiving, inspecting, and stocking/logging all incoming material. Attention to detail is paramount as keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments is a core function of the role outside of the physical requirements for the organization and management of items.

What you'd be doing:

  • Maintain inventory of all equipment parts and consumables, including stacking, labeling, and maintaining organization of all stock
  • Unpack, stock, pull, receive, and issue materials properly, according to predetermined standards and process
  • Work with all areas of the company to maintain and improve inventory accuracy and processing flows
  • Perform cycle counts of stocked material as required for inventory control
  • Assemble kits from pick lists
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies found through cycle counts, determine the root cause of the problem, and propose solutions to mitigate further issues
  • Manage inventory using a min-max methodology
  • Ensure that all proper written documentation is signed and filed in an orderly manner
  • Create and maintain an annual physical inventory process
  • Unload delivery trucks, check incoming shipments against product packing slips & purchase orders, and organize and store material
  • Update the product inventory as items are received and added to the inventory
  • Package products for return to vendors and filling out any paperwork necessary
  • Enter material transactions in the ERP system
  • Ensure timely delivery of stock/inventory as needed
  • Continuously maintain accurate warehouse inventory levels
  • Notify proper departments of inventory adjustments, stock levels, and their effect on production
  • Perform other inventory management duties as assigned by the manager

Physical Requirements:

Working in a warehouse environment, you will be walking, standing, and engaging in movement throughout the day, and occasionally to frequently be required to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Certain duties may involve a variety of physical activities including bending, stretching, lifting, stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms above shoulders and head, standing working in enclosed areas, climbing stairs or ladders, and operating heavy equipment.

Experience we require:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong working knowledge of Oracle NetSuite and MS Office (Excel and Word)
  • Warehouse experience: 2-3 years
  • Inventory management: 2-3 years
  • Experience with material handling equipment
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and manage inventory
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other Enterprise Resource Planning systems
  • Experience with shipping platforms
  • Exemplary math skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Database management skills
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment
  • Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data
  • Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
  • Valid US Driver’s License with exemplary driving record
