About this Position

Underline is building 5G mmWave networks to deliver multi-gig services to residential and business customers. This position has responsibility for defining, planning, implementing, and deploying mmWave services. Specific activities include developing, defining and leading the functional and interface requirements for OEM components and subsystems, support for platform and product integration, and identification, evaluation, optimization and integration of new technologies.

What you'd be doing:

  • Performance monitoring and improvement of existing field deployments
  • Execution of product RF and feature performance testing
  • System integration and release testing as “first customer”
  • Capturing and replicating innovation from the field
  • Supporting our customer lab entry and certification efforts
  • Supporting our customer’s issue replication and analysis
  • Develop and deliver field test infrastructure in conjunction with System Test
  • Conduct and assists in the design and performs test plans to ensure accurate and consistent product testing
  • Perform systems optimization, testing, verification and work to resolve issues related to mmWave installations
  • Troubleshoot performance issue by Maintaining knowledge of existing, current and newly developed mmWave products and components
  • Assist with creation of Test Plan, Trouble Reports, automation scripts, MOP, etc. & generate of problem reports, and insuring the satisfactory resolution of all problems
  • Interface with mmWave software/hardware vendors, groups and provides assistance for their activities of debugging and resolution
  • Prepares reports, compiles and analyzes data, and engineering information for the effective communication of processes, results, plans, recommendations and conclusion
  • Partner with Field Installation teams
  • Conduct and assist in the simulation of mmWave systems using various commercial RF design tools.
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience we require:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering with 6-12 years of related experience required
  • We are looking for highly motivated and talented problem-solvers with strong IC design skills as well as solid EM and communication systems background
  • Must be able to write, read, analyze and interpret technical journals and procedures
  • Ability to travel sporadically during the project
  • Ability to mentor, provide guidance and direction to other engineers in the team
  • Good understanding of mmWave Architecture types, nodes and interfaces involved.
  • Able to understand and comprehend objective oriented testing scenarios and identify issues therein if any
  • Must have understanding of mmWave flows, Air Interface and higher layers and related functions
  • Experienced with FIT/FOA/FFA reporting formats for multiple customers and be able to generate complex report
